• "First set notables would be the Roggae which got a good version, and a very good Gumbo. 2nd set highight for me was a sick Piper."
• "It gets real funky about halfway through, and Mike dominates most of the jam from that point; he has this incredible crunch effect he uses, and it makes every jam so much fun."

• "S2 starting off loud with CDT with light then back into CDT!!"
• "Clocking in at a touch over 20 minutes, it will definitely be jam-charted at some point and it departs from what you'd consider a "standard" Gin at this point and time."
• "One of the things that marks 4.0 for me as well is just that Trey has gotten a lot better at song placement and selection and knowing when to drop the slower songs (song #3 of the entire MSG run, for example)."
• "This was another incredible show in the midst of the SEA > PDX > SF run that I was lucky enough to witness."

• "S2 was another banger, full of Tweezer references and tease-adjacent sounds, but the feeling in the arena seemed to peak with 2001, sliding out of a righteously funky Boogie On Reggae Woman."
• "A coincidence as well that we had nice segues into Plasma at other Oregon shows - 10/17/2014 Eugene (my very first!) and also 10/19/2021 (the one with the longest opener in Phish history)."
• "Everything's Right is also one of my favorite recent jam vehicles and we were pleasantly surprised to get into dance territory with the Boogie On - everyone was grooving, perfect placement."
• "You have to think they knew they played a good show when there is BOTH a Hood and a Slave to the Traffic Light."
• "Just when you think it is about to peter down, it goes for another 5-7 minutes and peaks hard.. then straight into the Antelope afterward.."

• "Just wanted to note something I found quite nifty: Trey jumping into the jam in Weekapaug with all those quick, sprightly melodies right out of the gate, sounded like a much younger version of himself."

• "Ether Edge is played to its absolute fullest; the jam gains tension so slowly and patiently that you feel rewarded when they reach the peak, perfect jam, probably the best version so far."
• "An incendiary end to Blaze On, a jammed out 555, and a whole kaiju hatched out of that 18+ minute Ether Edge. (Easily a top three jam of spring - shout out to Tommy for FaceTiming me from the top of the Bowl as the jam started to explore."
• "Then The Howling; wasn't sure about this placement right after the peak and resolution of LSG, but wow."

• "Felt like we were having a party up in heaven with a mud house, but then Oblivion came to check in on us, we all fell from tubes onto the sand to run like an antelope, then calming with a ballad of Beneath a Sea of Stars."

• "This went through the usual form into the vocal jam but their vocal jam started to mimic the 2-chord G/C jamming they had just exited, so they reemerged with MORE funk jamming, almost like they had to do it!"

• "But once that vocal jam resolved back into some of the deepest and most inspired jamming of the tour, and then dissolved into one of the most awesome seques I’ve witnessed into Twist, I was in heaven."
• "Very cool vibe for the first set, just a giant yellow dance party (that should have been the color!!!) Second set while did initial eyeball at More I literally could not believe how tight they were, just absolutely locked in and smashing."
• "The transition into Twist was so buttery smooth, it felt like Twist just existed fully formed inside YEM and the magicians pulled it out of the hat."

This show featured the Phish debuts of Cream (Prince and the New Power Generation) and Sincere.
The second setbreak featured songs focused on "ice," "cream," and "ice cream." The ice cream man returned during Harry Hood while dancing milk cartons appeared on stage with the cartons eventually being discarded.
The dancers ended up exiting through a giant "it's ice cream" freezer.
During 2001, ice cream men brought out giant ice cream props from the freezer, Trey took over on drums, and Fish descended into the freezer.
A fake Fish then rose during Auld Lang Syne with a giant popsicle (a bomb pop).
During Tweezer, dancers from past New Year's Eve gags exited the freezer, sang the song's lyrics in multiple languages, and at times performed the Meatstick dance.
Trey teased Norwegian Wood in Harry Hood, Mr.
P.C. in 2001, Meatstick in Tweezer, and Rock On (David Essex) and Sneakin' Sally Thru the Alley in Piper.
The encore featured the band in ice cream man outfits.
Spock's Brain was performed for the first time since July 14, 2019 (238 shows).
A giant milk carton with a "Missing: Spock's Brain" notice reappeared (from earlier in the evening) above the band for Spock's Brain and Tweezer Reprise.
