HARD = a live hook (done-claim, source-grounding, ship.py, kid-mode) blocks the turn if I break it. SOFT = encoded in feedback_operating_contract_30.md, loaded each session, but no code stops me, so these depend on discipline. I am not pretending a memory note equals a gate.
