Chiron Tarot Cheatsheet

Card meanings in two lines, then what each card adds as a clarifier or combo. Corpus-grounded Chiron voice.

Cups

Ace of Cups
new love, healing, emotional gift, fresh feeling
  • Look, the Ace of Cups is a brand new beginning somebody wants to offer, but they're stuck in their feelings about it, sad and overthinking it when they don't have to. You can just go and do the thing instead of analyzing it to death.
  • Deeper, this card is about healing something, somebody knowing how they feel and a real gift lined up for them. Watch the shadow, because sometimes it's somebody trying to come in and take that gift before you ever get to drink from it.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier this card says somebody is emotionally available and expecting something to arrive. Next to the Three of Wands it reads as someone ready to shoot their shot, next to Justice it means that fresh feeling is tied to real accountability, court and karma coming back around.
Two of Cups
partnership, mutual bond, protect your peace, no fantasy
  • The Two of Cups is somebody that wants to move toward this relationship, real partnership energy, but you're done falling for fantasy. You're falling for facts, you got logical over the years and you can't be future-faked anymore.
  • The deeper read is karma. People thought they could come in with some sort of illusion and mass-fake a future, and they can't, so they realize a little too late that you protect your peace at all costs. The karma is hitting them mid-storm.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it points straight at a truth about a partnership. Next to the Three of Swords somebody has to say the painful thing out loud, next to the Knight of Cups it's a passionate person going crazy trying to move this bond forward.
Three of Cups
celebration, community, third party, reconciliation
  • The Three of Cups is celebration and community, but Chiron reads it as something about a third party here. It could be cheating, could be a divorce because somebody stepped out, never as simple as that but that's the flavor.
  • The other layer is somebody wanting to reconcile and mend something they broke in a past cycle, scared because of everything they've done. They think you'll be defensive and won't hear it, so they hesitate.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier this card adds others involved, a whole network. Next to the Lovers it's a web of partnerships and soul-tribe connection, next to the Devil that loose celebration energy curdles into temptation and a fork in the road you'll have to cleanse from.
Four of Cups
apathy, rejection, stuck in their ways, incoming offer
  • The Four of Cups is somebody stuck in their ways, acting content when nobody really wants to just be content. People want to live, want love, want passion, and this person stays bored at the cup being offered.
  • Reversed it flips on them, because you ain't afraid of rejection anymore and people are noticing you'll stay in the uncomfortable feelings. The shadow side is the beginning of rejection itself, somebody cut off, stalled, alone and quiet.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it reads as a lot of words with no meaning. Next to the Six of Wands somebody's saying plenty but it's empty noise, next to the Eight of Pentacles it's you grinding away waiting as good news is incoming.
Five of Cups
grief, loss, mourning, trapped in sadness
  • The Five of Cups is grief over what is lost, lamenting what got spilled. Chiron says it plain, somebody going through it and mourning a choice that didn't have to be marriage on paper, just an oath to somebody.
  • The shadow is darker, because they want to trap you in sadness, take your light, take your shine, make you feel backed into a corner with no options left. That's the manipulation, convincing you you have no other choice but to give up.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier next to Justice it means the walking away is deserved, the loss is proportional and fair, competitors leaving having lost something real. Next to the World it's old past grief somebody finally needs to let go of.
Six of Cups
nostalgia, inner child, familiar past, deep bonds
  • The Six of Cups is that healed inner child spark, that light people can feel and want a piece of. The more they hate, the more you turn it into love, and that nostalgic glow is exactly what they're noticing.
  • Deeper it's the deep emotional bonds, Scorpio-level undercurrent where you know somebody very well and they know you. Watch the shadow, because something familiar can be a doorway something predatory uses to slip in by impersonating what felt safe.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it warns that someone's trying to recreate an old bond for use. Next to the Seven of Swords that sweet familiar warmth becomes a tactic, next to Judgement it's somebody closing out a past cycle as they watch you from the outside.
Seven of Cups
illusion, clouded vision, fantasy, can't see clearly
  • The Seven of Cups is when you can't see clearly, clouded vision and fantasy dressed up to look appealing. Chiron flips it for the querent, you're good, you're healed, you know who you are on the inside and you don't need any of it.
  • The deeper read is you calling it how it is now, because you ain't afraid to tell the truth. Before you'd give people a million chances and believe the fantasy you built in your head about them, and you're done doing that.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier it shows the other side fighting shadows, defensive against nothing and you pay them no mind. Under the Devil it's their binding and blindness, next to the Nine of Wands it's your own guarded wisdom seeing straight through the illusion.
Eight of Cups
walking away, intentional departure, going deeper, leaving what binds
  • The Eight of Cups is walking away from what no longer serves, the intentional departure toward something deeper. You're listening to your intuition with that water energy, no more staying in a pity party for somebody who can't get it together.
  • The deeper layer is choosing yourself on purpose, because you walked away and felt the collective pulling on your energy but went anyway. It's a deliberate decision to go inward on purpose or go further into what's real.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it sets up an ending. Next to the Ten of Swords it's a connection completely cut off, somebody who didn't shoot their shot or got severed with finality. Next to the Three of Wands that closing cycle was you escaping someone controlling and binding.
Nine of Cups
wish fulfilled, contentment, satisfaction, fighting the feeling
  • The Nine of Cups is the wish fulfilled, personal contentment and knowing exactly what you truly want. It's about being happy with yourself and aligned, having power over something instead of repressing it.
  • The deeper read is somebody fighting that contentment, because they're scared to open up even when it would change everything for the good. Clarity arrives, the mind panics about it, but underneath is the fulfilled desire of someone in love resisting it.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier next to the High Priestess it means people feel safe around you, you take away their fears. Next to the Seven of Swords that satisfaction sours into somebody trying to get away with something on the slide, sneaking what they want.
Ten of Cups
complete connection, soul connection, love wins, fulfillment
  • The Ten of Cups is from A to Z when it comes to connections, the whole world, love winning here. That's a complete soul connection, everything connected, and that's exactly what it deserved.
  • The deeper layer is the read where spirit is telling you yes, no flaw in it, complete connection straight through. People get floored by your ability to manifest this and reveal hard truths, because you're the contradiction of everything they assumed.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card with the Ace of Cups it completes the arc, the seed of love grown into lasting wholeness, generational and full. Next to the Page of Swords it shows somebody mad you attract your soul's purpose so easily as they try to make waves in your happiness.
Page of Cups
intuition, apology, soft gesture, emotional reach-out
  • The Page of Cups says your intuition is never wrong, never. You picked up the information on the person trying to bind you, and you said not today Satan, you saw it coming.
  • The softer layer is somebody wanting to reach out, even a small gesture, hungry for some kind of emotional breakthrough with you despite all the heaviness. It's an apology card, the urge to mend showing up gentle.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier next to the High Priestess it reads as being kind and not reacting as somebody, often a Queen of Swords, comes in purposely to put claws in. Next to the Moon it darkens, somebody trying to use those intuitive gifts for dark intentions and destruction.
Knight of Cups
passionate pursuit, shooting their shot, boundary, can't stop thinking
  • The Knight of Cups is somebody passionate and going crazy, can't think of nothing else, ready to come out of acting like they don't want something. When's the last time you saw a hand come out of a cloud offering a blessing like this.
  • The deeper read is love that heals, because somebody takes them away from their own sabotage and that's why a person is in love. But this Knight also knows where the line is, dead serious, that boundary is off limits and they know not to cross it.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it's the bold romantic advance. Next to the Two of Cups it's somebody who wants to shoot their shot at this relationship, next to the Nine of Cups and Seven of Swords it turns sketchy, somebody passionate but trying to get away with something on the slide.
Queen of Cups
emotional wisdom, acceptance, honesty, grace
  • The Queen of Cups is the one who accepts somebody, so whatever it is might not be that bad, because everyone has different gauges of what they can and can't accept. She brings grace into situations and people are noticing that and the confidence under it.
  • The deeper layer is honesty and earned wisdom, because she needs to be honest about what she's holding on to. When she's got the wisdom now, that's the tea, and sometimes she serves justice on a gold platter for everybody who pushed her there.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier next to the Page of Cups it's intuition that refuses to be tricked, calling out the love spell and the binder. Next to the Page of Pentacles it's somebody planting new seeds with a water sign or handing them a gift, a new relationship taking root.
King of Cups
emotional mastery, old ways to new, honesty, willpower
  • The King of Cups is somebody going from their old ways to a new way, because something got put out into the open and somebody was honest. Sometimes that's all it takes, one conversation that needed to be had.
  • The deeper read is emotional mastery and strong willpower, because if nobody comes out and says something there's no chance of it surviving. This is the subconscious mind too, and when this card doubles up it tells you the pursuit of love and the mastery of feeling is the whole undeniable theme.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it carries strong mental willpower and a cut-off game. Next to the Moon things speed up and old past energy surfaces, next to the Queen of Swords and the Tower it can't coexist with the suffering cards, the field splits into two incompatible energies.

Swords

Ace of Swords
clarity, truth, breakthrough, cutting through ambiguity, mental power
  • Look, the Ace of Swords is the sword of clarity, it cuts through ambiguity to hand you the truth straight, no fog, no room for self-deception. When this hits the tea is out and it ain't getting put back.
  • The deeper read is the shock that comes with it. People were dead set they had you pinned, they had you fooled, and then the truth rips that fantasy right from under them, they realize too late the whole thing never worked in their favor.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier this card confirms you have the information you need, the sword has arrived. Next to the Sun it doubles down, somebody has to be clear about what they want and who they are, no more hiding behind the fog.
Two of Swords
indecision, stalemate, standoff, blocked, weighing the choice
  • The Two of Swords is the standoff, that place where you allow a level of confusion and just stay with it. You see the potential in staying in the shadow, holding the difficult perspective instead of forcing a move you ain't ready for.
  • Deeper down this is a choice not made yet, you genuinely don't know, and the truth is that's allowed. You're able, building your own foundation, and you don't owe anybody a fast answer just because they want one.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it splits confusion onto two planes, emotional and mental, when it is with a Cups card. Next to the Five of Swords somebody knows they're crossing a line, they want the thing but they know it's wrong, and pushing past that door costs everything.
Three of Swords
heartbreak, painful truth, the wound, a truth about a partnership
  • The Three of Swords is heartbreak, that painful piercing of what was being held, and most times it's some kind of truth about a partnership. Somebody has to say the thing knowing it's going to hurt.
  • The deeper layer is the silence around it. Something's hidden, a person could be repressing it, and the truth is you can't stay quiet, you got to act on it so somebody finally sees what's real.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier this card spells out the painful information that needs delivering. Next to the Two of Cups it's the wound inside the bond, and next to the Page of Swords the message has a messenger, somebody must speak so the truth gets known.
Four of Swords
rest, stillness, withdrawal, maintaining the vibration, not getting distracted
  • The Four of Swords is stillness, you sit between the swords in your own element and you maintain the vibration of surrender. There's a crow, a raven, somebody waving distraction at you, but you don't chase it.
  • The shadow read is when stillness turns tactical. This ain't always healthy rest, sometimes a person goes quiet on purpose, staying still so they don't get detected, covering something up as they wait you out.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it deepens whatever hidden energy is beside it. Next to the Moon and the Devil it reads as concealment, somebody doesn't want to be detected, behind the scenes, holding their hand close and playing the patient game.
Five of Swords
conflict, winning at a cost, envy, jealousy, the stab in the back
  • The Five of Swords is conflict where one person wins and the rest get left humiliated. Watch the energy, this is the one walking over with a knife behind their back, ready to run up and stab somebody the moment they turn.
  • The deeper read is the spirit of envy and jealousy on them. People are noticing those spiritual attachments, and because their stories and their actions don't add up, none of it works, they got to start over at square one.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier it shows who gets bothered when you disrupt something. Under the Tower it's the sting felt by the witnesses, you shatter something and it bothers people, the ones who counted on the old order being left in the dust.
Six of Swords
moving forward, transition, the way out, moving away from toxicity, grace
  • The Six of Swords is the way forward, plain and simple, moving away from toxicity and the things that don't serve you. You move on toward your goals peacefully, with an element of grace, not worried about the competition.
  • The deeper read is the exile that becomes the crown. Exiled and pushed out only to come back king and queen, and what they realize too little too late is that you walk alone unafraid, you were never as attached as they thought.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it points the spread toward the destination. Next to the Three of Cups and the Lovers it's a soul tribe, this is the way forward, and next to the Two of Swords your cut-off game is strong even when you're unsure how to move.
Seven of Swords
deception, sneaking, scheming, doing it on the slide, lies
  • The Seven of Swords is the one who takes what ain't theirs and moves in secret, believing they can dodge the consequences. They're trying to do it on the slide, sliding past you as they think nobody clocked it.
  • The deeper read is lies and negative judgments placed on you, illusions somebody's trying to make stick. The truth is you ain't afraid to call it, go ahead and lie, your energy brings all that crawling deception to light.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier this card exposes the schemer in the spread. Next to the Nine of Swords obsession turns into stalking, and next to the Knight of Swords the mask comes off, somebody who watches and mimics, doing it all on the slide.
Eight of Swords
feeling trapped, self-imposed limitation, mental bondage, stuck, repressed truth
  • The Eight of Swords is self-imposed limitation, that feeling of being trapped in a situation that's got more exits than the person can see. The bindings are mental, the door's open, they just can't look at it yet.
  • The deeper read is repression and the silence it breeds. They're scared of what their truth is going to do, so they stay quiet, but you have to be your truth, because all that bottled energy has to find a channel somewhere.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it spells out the cage somebody's standing in. Next to Strength the way out is inner courage, not force, and next to the Moon and the Devil it's repressed energy that's been hidden so long it has to break loose.
Nine of Swords
anxiety, worry, looping thought, sleepless dread, overthinking
  • The Nine of Swords is worry, that looping sleepless thought, somebody scared or really thinking hard about a move. It's the 3am mind that won't shut off, turning the same fear over and over.
  • The deeper read is who the worry belongs to. Maybe a person's worried about the action you're taking, maybe about their own, or maybe you're worried about your own action, and the healing is releasing the lie that things have to be perfect.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier it marks mental preoccupation, usually about a move somebody's afraid to make. Next to the Ace of Wands the desire is there but the fear stalls the action, next to the Emperor that loop is somebody scheming to bind you down.
Ten of Swords
definitive ending, the final blow, betrayal, words that wound, total cutoff
  • The Ten of Swords is the definitive ending, the final blow, something completely cut off. Communication severed, somebody having to walk away, the door shut with finality and no half-measure to it.
  • The deeper read is the wound that words can do. There's certain things you can say to make people not want to deal with somebody, gossip and harm aimed to ruin, but once that softness gets betrayed you detach like that, retracted and gone.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it closes the story out for good. After the Eight of Cups it's the walk-away made final, and next to the Hermit it confirms this energy is blocked off, it should never be unblocked, the Devil knocking gets a permanent no.
Page of Swords
new information, fresh perspective, the messenger, watching, crossroads
  • The Page of Swords is the watcher and the bearer of news, the one bringing information you didn't have. People gain a new perspective, there's learning here, a crossroads with real potential for growth.
  • The deeper read is the envy that trails an easy-flowing destiny. Somebody wanted to create waves in your happiness because things come to you so easy, and that mess they threw at your feet, you walked right over it onto your soul's purpose.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier it points to information or a perceived label in the spread. Next to the Hierophant a title becomes a barrier in somebody's head, a title gets in their way, when the truth is it was never the obstacle they made it.
Knight of Swords
talking but not honest, hiding the truth, communicating, avoiding shadow work
  • The Knight of Swords is somebody talking, asserting their thoughts through their words, but not saying the truth. They've got a lot to say, plenty of it, and none of it is what they actually feel.
  • The deeper read is the hiding underneath the noise. They're going through their own process over something they wanted, not being completely honest, and what they really need is the shadow work they keep trying to move past.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card it flags a story with a crack in it. Next to the Seven of Swords the mask is off and people catch the stalking, and next to the Four of Pentacles somebody needs to speak and make the communication solid.
Queen of Swords
sharp, strategic, calculated, intelligent, sees right through you
  • The Queen of Swords is sharp, honest, clear-spoken, the one who sees right through people. They feel like you can read their mind, that you can't be manipulated, and that you'll cut them off with no tomorrow.
  • The deeper read flips that directness when the energy goes covert. Placed in shadow her intelligence gets deployed undercover, she still has a motive, it's just hidden, dropping hints instead of saying what she means.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier next to the Moon she becomes a calculated, strategic communicator, the motive stays hidden as the moves run undercover. It's a red flag combo, strategic intelligence plus deception equals somebody playing it covert.
King of Swords
authority through words, the communicator, intelligence, clear and precise speech
  • The King of Swords is the communicator who uses words with authority, clarity, and precision. Could be a Libra, Gemini, or Aquarius, an air sign, somebody whose intelligence is the weapon and the gift both.
  • The shadow read is intelligence weaponized for drama. This one loves it when people are in disarray, stirring the pot, pinning folks against each other, but at his best he says nah, I'm at peace, closing out a cycle that no longer changes.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card he marks the moment something gets said with power. Next to the Six of Wands the message hits and somebody succeeds, next to the Ace of Pentacles that clear word becomes a real opportunity, something materialized and acted on.

Wands

Ace of Wands
activation, raw impulse, the spark to act, starting energy
  • The Ace of Wands is that raw activation that comes over you, the desire to act on something you can't even explain. You just got to move on it.
  • Look, this is the starting impulse before the structure exists, so the truth is you have to go forward, you cannot think your way out of it. The energy started gathering force.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier this card tells you the whole reading is about somebody at the beginning of a cycle, ready to make their move. Next to the Nine of Swords it's somebody scared to shoot their shot, next to the Knight of Cups it's the bold romantic advance finally going for it.
Two of Wands
planning, the threshold, ready to move forward, the barrier
  • The Two of Wands is somebody at the threshold who knows they're ready to move forward, even if they don't know exactly where they're going. They see it in front of them and they can't deny it.
  • The shadow here is the plans and the manipulation, the smile-in-your-face-with-a-knife-behind-your-back energy. People are noticing the jealousy and envy because that contradiction in their character shows.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card this is the decision made but not acted on, the barrier turning into a starting point. Next to the Nine of Wands it's somebody planning to test your perimeter, next to the King of Cups it's a person with clarity who knows they want to move forward.
Three of Wands
watching for it, forward anticipation, moving forward, the wait
  • The Three of Wands is somebody who wants to move forward and they're watching for it to come in. They don't just want to hang around for years, they're looking down the road.
  • The deeper read is this should not be repressed, the truth is if you don't hold it in, it changes everything. Somebody just has to stop being scared to open up and take the action.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier this card adds physical desire and forward pull to whatever it is next to. Paired with the Ace of Cups or the High Priestess it's fire and water together, and the tea is the relationship is sexual, ain't it, they want to shoot their shot.
Four of Wands
celebration, empowerment, arriving at a stable place, joining energy
  • The Four of Wands is celebration and homecoming, somebody making it to a higher place after the work. Somebody wants to join their energy with yours and build a strong foundation.
  • The other layer is mastery and discernment, you've mastered something so they can't sell you a story. People are noticing they can't come at you sideways because you're a sharp judge of character.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card this hits as the reward, the outcome you arrive at when you don't repress your truth. Next to the Ace of Pentacles it's arriving somewhere real and celebratory, next to the Knight of Pentacles it's somebody trying to slow your roots from getting there.
Five of Wands
competition, conflict, one-sided rivalry, the choice to compete
  • The Five of Wands is competition and conflict, and baby you are the competition. Somebody's mad, they want to fight, they put themselves in your arena.
  • The truth is this is one-sided competition, people who put themselves against you, that's their first problem. They dislike how you make it look effortless and they push your boundaries.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier this card means competitive friction, multiple players grinding in the same space. Next to the Eight of Pentacles it's building your craft as others strive, and when the Ace came before it, it reads as a choice, definitely a choice.
Six of Wands
victory, recognition, successfully overcome, public win
  • The Six of Wands is victory and recognition, you have successfully overcome and it looks good on you. That confidence, that blunt communication style, that's the win showing.
  • The deeper karma here is you matured emotionally and you don't hand out chances anymore. They show you who they are once, twice, and that's enough, you're not giving them six, seven, eight more.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card this is the payoff at the end of a Wands run, Ace to Three to Six mapping the whole trajectory. But watch the shadow, next to the Seven of Swords or the Devil it flips into somebody who views you as having power and tries to sponge it off you.
Seven of Wands
defending your ground, holding position, fighting challengers, protect before depleted
  • The Seven of Wands is holding your ground against multiple challengers from the high position. It's about protecting something before it gets depleted or damaged.
  • Listen, the shadow is somebody who wants everybody coming after you because they couldn't do it alone. They'll pin everyone against you and sit back relishing the conflict they created.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier this card stacks defensive power onto whatever it touches. Next to the Nine of Wands it's the battle-worn warrior still standing, but next to the Seven of Cups under the Devil it's the adversary fighting shadows they made up themselves.
Eight of Wands
rapid movement, focused energy, coming right at a target, swift action
  • The Eight of Wands is when the energy is coming right at a target, somebody focused and moving fast on something they decided to pursue. If a person can't aim like that, they're not living their truth.
  • The other read is somebody all up in their head, having a hard time expressing the emotions, and the messages are speeding in. Sometimes it's people in secret on fake pages who are sad and secretly want to talk to you.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card this is speed and focus on a court card's action, it tells you what somebody is doing right now. Next to the Queen of Swords she's acting smart and moving quick, next to the Page of Wands and the Devil it's somebody taking their last shots.
Nine of Wands
guard up, still standing, protecting the doorway, weary defender
  • The Nine of Wands is somebody protecting their doorway, guarding the entryway with their guard all the way up. Their energy is felt, you know they're going to make a move or they done it already.
  • The deeper layer is the battle-worn warrior who is still standing after the fight. They've been tested once, twice, three times and they're still holding the hill.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a clarifier this card means somebody holding the line against repeated challenge. Next to the Two of Wands it's standing your ground as they test the perimeter, next to the Seven of Wands it stacks into pure defensive and offensive power, where it's not even going to be a fight.
Ten of Wands
burden, carrying too much, toxic choice, destructive weight
  • The Ten of Wands is overburdening, getting crushed under the weight of something you picked up yourself. And the tea is, that's not going to work.
  • The shadow here feels like an unhealthy pull, somebody really attracted to someone else and it's destructive. It feels like a choice here, somebody can choose this toxicity if they want it, but this reading is to help you see it.
  • Clarifier / Combo As a combo card this is the outcome of the wrong choice, what carrying it looks like indefinitely. Next to the Knight of Wands the energy gets weird and something ain't right here, next to the Page of Wands somebody's being over-analytical on a thing that's closed out.
Page of Wands
preparing for something new, creative passionate ideas, reaching the summit, immature energy
  • The Page of Wands is someone preparing for something new, like they've gotten to the top of the mountain. It's all about creative, passionate ideas about to take off.
  • The other side of this card can read immature, like somebody who love-bombed or strung you along. But you've healed that, you surrendered something, cried the tears, and now you say it straight instead of swallowing it.
