Etsy Delivery Audit, Corrected

Shop OnethingNeededShop, July 18 2026. This page began as a 9-buyer spot check read off Etsy order panels. It has been reconciled against the full 63-receipt pass in reconcile_full.json, which read whole message threads rather than order-linked messages. One of my nine verdicts was wrong and is corrected below.

The correction

Ashley Stecker is DELIVERED. I called her unsent, and I was wrong. Her order panel showed one message, the Jul 6 review request, so I read the thread as empty of delivery. The full pass found her thread filed under the display name steckerash carrying Drive id 1IRCh63S2hTmDin6rfphHUlKUc2yPxz5J. The order panel only surfaces messages linked to the receipt, so a link sent in the open thread was invisible to my method. She was the buyer I described most harshly, and she had her reading the whole time.

Your instruction to leave the last three alone was right. All three were delivered, and contacting them would have been an apology for nothing.

The host conflict, now resolved

WeTransfer was used. Brandon confirmed it on July 18 after first recalling Drive as the only host. The we.tl sighting for Megan Dennis, receipt 4066549267 in thread 1673932297, stands. Her row is internally corroborated: the link scan records zero Drive links for that receipt, which is exactly what a WeTransfer delivery looks like to a Drive-only scan.

The multi-host scan, run and closed

Executed live against Etsy message search on July 18 2026. Each row is a query and its result count, read off the shop.

WeTransfer was used exactly once, for Megan Dennis. No Dropbox, no iCloud, no second WeTransfer send anywhere in the shop. The host question is now closed rather than open, and the four PROVISIONAL rows clear the host test: zero Drive links and zero hits on every other host.

One check still separates them from certain. A reading can also be delivered as text pasted straight into a message, which no host query can detect. Karen mackie is already settled on that point, since her thread was read directly and holds one message, the Jun 19 question prompt, with no reading text. Fatima Ait-Ouafa twice and Maryanne Gewargis still need their threads read.

The rescan target list, 20 receipts

Derived locally from thread_links.txt cross-referenced against reconcile_full.json. No browser needed to produce this list, only to execute it.

They are absent from the 63-receipt reconciliation and therefore from every owed list.

The 16 are a coverage hole, not a backlog. The link scan covered 72 receipts. The reconciliation scored 63. The two sets are not nested: 16 receipts were scanned and never scored, and 7 were scored without a link count. Nobody has confirmed whether the 16 are refunds, non-reading products, or unsent readings. Until they are scored they cannot appear as owed, which makes the 17-reading total a floor rather than a count.

Three zero-link receipts are already settled and need no rescan. Megan Dennis is delivered on the observed we.tl link. Linda Holmes is owed with certainty, since her whole four-message thread was read directly and holds no link and no reading text. Arturo Cuahutle is an auto-download product with no recording owed.

The problem nobody is tracking

Drive file 1IRCh63S2hTmDin6rfphHUlKUc2yPxz5J was sent to three different buyers, not two. Searching that file id on July 18 returns 3 conversations: steckerash (Ashley Stecker, Jul 6), jennieharris29 (Jennie Harris, Jun 23), and a Sign in with Apple user (Jun 20). All three score DELIVERED on a link count, and at most one of them received their own reading. A per-receipt reconciliation cannot detect this, since every row looks complete on its own.

The full duplicate sweep is not done, and it cannot be batched. Etsy's message search renders results client-side, so a bulk fetch of 21 known file ids returned no counts. Mapping every duplicate needs one real page load per file id, and only 21 ids are visible from search previews out of 45 link-carrying threads. Three-buyer reuse was found on the first id checked, which is reason to check the rest rather than assume it is isolated.

What actually failed, in order of cost

Counting a review as delivery. Retired at your instruction. A link or the reading itself in a message is the only proof. Linda Holmes moved from delivered to owed the moment that rule landed.
Reading the order panel instead of the thread. This is my error and it produced the Ashley call. The panel hides anything not linked to the receipt.
Name search in Etsy messages. Etsy matches message body text, not participants. Searching "Ashley" returns no conversations even though her thread exists. Any name-based check returning empty proves nothing.
Single-host link scanning. Only drive.google.com was scanned, which is why four rows remain provisional and why Megan Dennis was briefly mis-scored.
No cross-thread file comparison. Duplicate sends stay invisible.

Next step

Settle the host question. Open thread 1673932297 and confirm whether Megan Dennis received a we.tl link. That single check either promotes four provisional rows to certain or triggers a multi-host rescan.
Send the 10 certain and high-confidence readings, oldest first: Elisha Marti at 62 days, then JoAnne Nikitas, Linda Holmes, melanie lopez twice, georges finoulst, Sheryl Koehler, plus the multi-unit shortfalls for Cassie Saldana, Heather Phillips and Ellen Hughes.
Run the cross-thread file-id comparison over all 44 delivered receipts to find any further duplicate sends.
Apologize to nobody yet on the provisional four until step 1 resolves.
