This page is “My Mirror Hates Me” — charted from the stems, not the scrape. It is one of the projects Brandon built and put online. The grown-up details are below, tap Grown-up mode to read them the normal way.
Goal: the live v1 chart was built from the contaminated Genius scrape (a diatonic guess off the bass, with a silent verse and a chorus that never matched the take). Rebuilt here from the song’s own audio pulls (rhythm-guitar + bass + vocal MIDI, cross-checked with librosa chroma) so the chords and their placement are what is actually played.
Defragged the basic-pitch MIDI, took roots from the clean bass pull, mode + melody from the vocal pull, then confirmed with librosa chroma on the raw WAV.
Wrote a clean FROMAUDIO source, used composite triads to match the album’s convention, spaced the chords evenly and identically across both choruses, and spliced only this song’s section into the live page.
Rendered and screenshotted the page, confirmed the toggle and correct case, validated integrity (10 panes, 0 repeat violations), and deployed to permanent Vercel.
Em Does no one know I've live a thousand years ... (11 lines, no chords) Like a worn out chair Em D Bm My mirror hates me today D Bm D Bm D It lies to me this way Bm Em D My mirror hates me I know Bm Am I'm losing hours alone
Em (drone, verse rides one chord) Does no one know I've lived a thousand years ... (verse held on Em) Like a worn out chair [Chorus] Bm G Am D My mirror hates me today Bm G Am D It lies to me this way Bm G Am D My mirror hates me I know Bm G Am Em I'm losing hours alone
The clean vocal pull settles it: G♮ (♭3) leads at 18.4%, with a D♯ raised-7 over the V. Minor mode, not the histogram's major guess (that guess was distortion overtones, the flat-side-rock auto-key trap).
The bass pedals E for the whole verse and the guitar rides a power-chord voicing, so the verse is one held Em, stated once. The old chart left these eleven lines with no chord at all.
The clean bass cycles B → G → A → D → E, six times per chorus, twice in the song. In E minor that is v – ♭III – iv – ♭VII – i. The old chart's Em D Bm / D Bm D… was a guess that never matched the take.
Per the page banner the chord is the composite: the guitar plays power voicings and the vocal supplies the third. The song floats the third (both choruses disagree on the A), so the labels follow the E-minor diatonic reading, matching the triad style of the other nine songs. Placement is now even and identical across both choruses.
