Reading Modes — Card-Combo Readiness (verified)

Verification sweep (this update): each reader's deck was confirmed by counting real Rider-Waite card draws in its transcripts, not assumed. The earlier version also undercounted transcripts (it missed the transcripts/ subdir). Both are fixed below. risingsoul and lightassefa are NOT source-starved; their content does not deal Rider-Waite pairs.

The real split

Ready / wired and working. Kate (99%, ready), Chiron, m3ksmith, eyeaphim, quanyin all read real Rider-Waite combos from their big archives. All are selectable in the reader via TAROT_VOICES="kate,chiron" (default) or e.g. TAROT_VOICES="m3ksmith".

Not a card-combo source. risingsoul reads a quantum ORACLE deck (only 3 of 100 transcripts mention any Rider-Waite draw), and lightassefa delivers channeled messages with zero card draws. More transcripts do not help; the content never lays down Rider-Waite cards. Open decision: build an oracle-deck extractor for risingsoul, or exclude both from card-combo readers.

Reader wiring (this session)

read_spread.py now ingests every reader that has a *_combo_meanings.jsonl big archive. The same clean-combo filter applies (reversed, alt-deck, and multi-card lay-down windows rejected). build_spread_reading.py defaults to the big archives for kate + chiron. Measured ingest: kate +4,469 windows, chiron +941, plus m3ksmith / eyeaphim / quanyin readable on demand.

Counts: transcript dirs under sfg/MASSIVE TAROT/<reader>/transcripts/; passages/pairs from ~/Projects/_outputs/tarot-voice/*_combo_meanings_summary.json; draw evidence from grep over each transcript corpus. "Pairs" = distinct two-card windows with real text, not co-mention. Entertainment only.
