Verdict: Yes, the index carried genuinely stale rules and card facts, and it has been modernized. The central deckbuilding theory ages well. The datable material was card legality, the Game Changers list, bracket definitions, the hybrid-mana proposal, and two metadata errors. All of it is now corrected in the generator, so the fix survives the next rebuild.

2What changed in the generator

The page is generator-driven (corpus_points.py), so hand-edits to the HTML get clobbered on the next build. Every fix went into the builder, matching its existing patterns (the same place revoice.py and the caption-repair maps already live).

Metadata corrector

A CARD_ERRATA map fixes wrong commander names and color identities against Scryfall when the tags load, so chips, search tags, and color filters use the real card record. The spoken transcript is never edited.

Editorial status layer

A STATUS_NOTES overlay renders a small "Current status — verified Jul 2026" panel above a video's transcript when its rules or legality have moved. Each line names its source, so the archive and today's rules sit side by side.

"Rules changed since publish" filter

A new toggle in the filter bar surfaces only the entries carrying a status note, so a reader can jump straight to the material that has aged.

Grounding preserved

On the rebuilt page the anti-AI voice gate flags 0 patterns on the authored status prose, and points_validate reports 0 hard and 0 soft findings. The status prose was written to the house voice.

3On the external review

The pasted research was mostly accurate and its fixes were adopted. Two calibration notes, both grounded in the checks above:

Confirmed right: the transcription garbles are real — Meria of Ultron, Glissel, and Hearthhole do appear. Only Hearthhole reached the metadata, so it is the one that was fixed; the other two live only in the spoken transcript (the decks are already tagged correctly as Meria, Scholar of Antiquity and Glissa), so they stay per the preserve-the-transcript rule.
Held to current state, not to dates: the specific change dates in the review (a February 2026 hybrid shelving, an October 2025 bracket revision) were not independently verified, so the status notes anchor to the current published rule and its source rather than repeating an unconfirmed date.

4Optional next step

The one item not yet built is a design choice: a "2026 alternatives" box that pairs an older card with a newer role-equivalent (for example Hexing Squelcher next to Spider-Punk). That adds a new opinion layer on top of the archive, so it is offered rather than assumed.
