Preseason Receipts, Logged for Grading · 2026 NFL Season

The 2026 Preseason Receipts Ledger

Their 2026 calls are on record now. This logs them in three separate ledgers, ETR house rankings, Ship Chasing panel opinions, and Davis Mattek under his own name, so each gets graded against the box score next winter.

Graded companion: the finished 2025 Ship-Chasers vs. the Box Score scoreboard. This ledger is that board's on-deck circle.

Why three separate ledgers

The useful version keeps three records apart: ETR's house rankings (blended projections, algorithms, and staff judgment), Ship Chasing panel opinions (where an episode often names a player without naming the host who backed the call), and statements Davis Mattek made under his own name. Grading a person for a room's take, or a room for one person's take, is how a ledger goes wrong.

Where a named speaker owns a call, it is tagged to that person. Where only the show owns it, it is tagged panel, attribution pending, and it waits for episode transcripts before it gets a final grade.

Establish The Run, house rankings

Ep 993, July 2 · blended

ETR's clearest 2026 call sheet is its market-disagreement episode with Levitan, Silva, Herzig, and Miller. These are blended company rankings, so they sit in the ETR house ledger, not any one analyst's personal one.

Higher than the market
Jayden Daniels QB Derrick Henry RB Garrett Wilson WR DK Metcalf WR Brock Purdy QB Jordan Addison WR Kyler Murray QB Cooper Kupp WR
Lower than the market
Makai Lemon WR Rome Odunze WR Omarion Hampton RB DJ Moore WR Michael Wilson WR Josh Allen QB Quinshon Judkins RB Brian Thomas Jr. WR

The one with a named owner

Jayden Daniels gets extra personal backing from Justin Herzig's published "My Guys," citing the rushing floor, improved lower-body health, and Washington's planned increase in under-center snaps. This one carries Herzig's name on top of the house rank.

The measurable disagreement

Makai Lemon drew the most detailed bear case, from Silva, who expected limited work inside Philadelphia's primary receiver packages and a run-heavy plan. ETR ranked him 104 against the market's 88, a clean sixteen-pick gap that grades cleanly next winter.

02

Ship Chasing, panel opinions

Attributed + pending

Two tiers. First the calls a named host owns in public writing. Then the episode calls the show owns as a group, held as attribution pending until transcripts name the supporter.

Flag: Chris Godwin lands in both groups, so the panel disagreed with itself. His call needs a named speaker before it can be graded either way.

03

Davis Mattek, under his own name

Mind of Mansion, July 5

The calls Davis owns personally, from his own-name appearance, kept apart from anything he only discussed on a Ship Chasing panel.

DK MetcalfWRLove"Trapped elite talent," a buy on talent the situation is holding down.MattekPending

His thesis, gradeable on its own

Across the appearance Mattek argued that ordinary secondary receivers have become weak fantasy purchases. That is a market-shape call, not a single player, and it grades next winter by whether mid-round complementary receivers returned value as a group.

Everything Davis only touched on a Ship Chasing episode stays in Ledger 02 under the panel tag, marked show discussion, until a transcript puts a specific player in his mouth.

Reading the ledger

No transcript needed

The value that does not wait on episode audio: how these 2026 calls sit against the graded 2025 board, and which calls a name already owns.

Attribution status, plainly

Already owned by a name: the full ETR house sheet (company, with Herzig on Daniels and Silva on Makai Lemon), Davis Mattek's own-name calls, and the five host-attributed Ship Chasing writes from Sanderson and Overzet.

Still panel, transcript-gated: the July 8 renaissance and black-marble groups, the July 1 stack calls, and the recurring uncertain-role names. Those wait on episode transcripts, skipped this pass, and stay tagged panel until a transcript names the supporter.

The grade plan

What happens next winter

A fair grade records six things per call: date, player, direction, draft price, named speaker, confidence. This ledger locks the first five now, before training-camp news reshapes the market.

Closing draft price is the hinge. An excellent July read can turn into an expensive September pick, so season grading compares production against acquisition cost and tournament structure, not raw total points. A cheap hit and a costly hit are not the same result.

After Week 17, each cell turns green or red on that basis, the panel calls get their named owners from transcripts, and this page redeploys with the verdicts in place next to the 2025 board.

Method, attribution, and honesty notes

No reality is assigned because the 2026 season has not been played. Unknown outcomes stay blank until the games decide them.

These calls come from the public record through July 25 2026: ETR's articles and its disagreement episode, the cited Ship Chasing episodes, and Davis Mattek's own-name appearance. The episode-derived calls are logged from those published records and their summaries, without an independent transcript, so Ship Chasing group calls stay tagged panel, attribution pending and are held off any single host until a transcript names one. Chris Godwin appears on both sides of the July 8 panel, which is logged as a disagreement, not resolved.

Draft prices are as cited at time of writing and will drift before Week 1. ETR ranks are blended house rankings, credited to the company, with Herzig named on Daniels and Silva named on the Makai Lemon bear case. Team labels are given only where a 2026 role is settled.
