One hundred and fifty cited quotes across three sources, fifty from
Vaknin's lectures, fifty from Grannon's transcripts, fifty from Vaknin's book,
every one checked against its source before it was allowed onto this page.
Both men were already in the second brain. Neither was findable by name.
Sam Vaknin appears as Vankin in Brandon's own spelling, and Richard
Grannon's two transcripts never carry his surname at all, so a search for
either name returned almost nothing while roughly seventy thousand words of
their speech sat in the iCloud TextEdit folder.

How each speaker was identified
Grannon is confirmed by direct address, not by inference.
In narcissistic.rtfd a viewer writes "Thanks for this, Richard,
really enjoying it" and the speaker answers "Thank you for being here."
That is a livestream host being thanked by name. The second file opens
"welcome to the integration course, this is a new model for healing and
dealing with narcissistic abuse" and carries his CPTSD and emotional-flashback
vocabulary twelve and seven times.
Two nearby files were rejected.Communal support
systems.rtf is authored book prose in chapters, and Cult book
2.rtf is a first-person church testimony. Both discuss narcissism and
both mention vampires, and neither is Grannon speaking, so neither contributed
a quote.

The vampire thread
Grannon's framing of the narcissistic bond is a bite that promises eternal
life and delivers conversion instead. It is the clearest single idea in either
corpus, and it is why the material files under vampire rather than under his name.
You trade your agency, your sovereignty, for the mirror world, for the shared fantasy, for the Matrix. You trade it off. It's a kind of, you're going to die. It's like the vampire: like, I'm going to bite you but you won't die, you'll be a vampire like me and you'll experience eternal life. That's the payoff. That's the covert contract.
Richard Grannon · Integration course
You give up all illusions. The fantasy is now dead, dead, dead. You know, what did they used to do with vampires? We've got the mythos that they just used to drive a stake through the heart.

Three defects were caught while building this and are worth recording. The
first splitter produced 170-word spans against a 46-word cap, so it discarded
most of the transcript and the "top 50" was really everything that survived.
Hard-wrapping long spans fixed the pool at the cost of fragments starting
mid-sentence, which are now scored zero. And the sentence splitter first used
re.finditer with a pattern that backtracks quadratically on a
289KB line, which hung rather than failed.
