Helpers you already own but barely use. Red ones are the biggest missed wins. Each says the smallest way to start.

What these helpers are, in kid words

Obsidian is your project brain. Every note, script, dashboard, prompt, and source can point to the other related pieces, like a web of string connecting all your stuff so nothing gets lost.

Dataview is a magic table. When notes wear the right labels, it lists them by itself. You never hand-update the list again.

n8n (this is most likely the "Innate In" you meant) is a tiny robot assembly line. After you set the rules once, it moves files, links, drafts, and reminders from one place to another while you sleep.

Claude Code is the helper that can build, link, rename, and refresh the whole system, but only when the rules are written down clearly.

Tool-by-tool, worst gaps first

Zotero RED

What it is
A free librarian app that stores every source you might quote, with page numbers and citation info.
Problem it solves
Book chapters must cite real sources (the 90% source rule). Right now sources live in scattered folders and transcripts.
What Brandon wanted
A proper source library behind the book pipelines.

DEVONthink RED

What it is
A deep-storage warehouse app for old files that should stay searchable but out of the way.
Problem it solves
Old projects pile up in Downloads and archive folders (50GB in _Archive alone). A warehouse keeps them findable without cluttering the working folders.
What Brandon wanted
Anything older than 90 days searchable but out of sight.
Connects to

Using it?
No. Not installed. The archive problem it would solve is real and growing (it is literally an open item on the disk-space queue).
Why this color
No footprint, and a cheaper habit (the disk-space queue) covers the same ground first.

What it is
A launcher you summon with one hotkey to open any note, script, dashboard, or command by typing a few letters.
Problem it solves
Opening dashboards and scripts means digging through Finder or remembering paths. A launcher makes everything 2 keystrokes away.

His 45 dashboards and 153 skills reachable instantly.

What it is
A spreadsheet-database website for tracking products: every Etsy listing, its price, its status, its revenue, in one table.
Problem it solves
Etsy and Gumroad product status lives in chat memories and scattered notes. One table would be the single truth for what is listed where.

A product catalog that answers 'what is live and what did it earn' in one look.

What it is
An audio and video editor where you edit the recording by editing its transcript like a text document.
Problem it solves
Voice promos and video cleanup are hand-edited today. Descript makes cut-this-sentence as easy as deleting text.

Faster cleanup for narrated videos and promos.

Readwise Reader YELLOW

What it is
An app that collects everything you read (books, PDFs, articles) into one inbox and sends your highlights into Obsidian by itself.
Problem it solves
Brandon's reading and research is scattered. One reading inbox means every highlight lands in the vault without copy-paste.
What Brandon wanted
All his book highlights flowing into Brandon-Vault automatically.

Using it?
No. The Obsidian plugin is installed and has synced exactly zero books (the plugin's own data file shows an empty book map). The Readwise account was never connected.
Why this color
Plugin installed on purpose, never connected. One token away from working.

What it is
A connector app that links files to each other, so an Ableton project, its PDF, its vault note, and its Todoist task all point at one another.
Problem it solves
Brandon's link-everything policy is done by hand today (paths pasted into notes). Hookmark makes the links one keystroke.
What Brandon wanted
Two-way links between project files without typing paths.

What it is
A macro app that chains Mac actions onto one hotkey: open the vault, open Todoist, run the miner, open the daily note, all in one press.
Problem it solves
Brandon's morning startup is many manual opens. One macro collapses it to a single key.

A one-key morning-start and project-open routine.

What it is
Labels on notes (tags) plus hub notes that link related things together (Maps of Content), so everything points to its family.
Problem it solves
Notes that nothing links to are invisible. Tags and hubs make every note findable from somewhere.
What Brandon wanted
Every note, script, dashboard, and prompt reachable from a hub page.
Connects to

Using it?
Partly. The hub layer is genuinely built (45 dashboard/hub notes, numbered folders). Tagging is machine-driven (idea miner) more than habit-driven; hand-made notes mostly go untagged.

Hubs exist and work; the tagging habit on new notes does not.

When saving the next note, add ONE tag from the standard set (project/music, status/yellow). One tag per note is enough to start.

Browser bookmarks YELLOW

What it is
A saved-links bar so the dashboards are one click away instead of buried in Finder.
Problem it solves
Dashboards nobody opens die. A bookmark bar slot is the cheapest daily-open insurance.
What Brandon wanted
The Command Center hub bookmarked in every browser.

Using it?
Partly. The pages were opened as tabs in both browsers and an instruction file exists. Whether Cmd+D was pressed is unknown; nothing on disk can confirm it.

Mechanism delivered to the user's fingertips; the final keypress is unverified.

What it is
A scheduled script that re-scans the drives and rebuilds these dashboards so they never go stale.
Problem it solves
A map that is three weeks old is a map nobody trusts. Refresh on a schedule keeps it honest.
What Brandon wanted
These Command Center pages staying current by themselves.
Connects to

Using it?
Partly. The script pair already exists and works (it built this page). What is missing is the schedule: no launchd job runs it, so refresh is manual.

Script built and proven; the timer was never attached. One plist from done.

What it is
A magic table inside Obsidian that lists notes automatically when they carry the right labels.
Problem it solves
Hand-maintained index notes go stale. Dataview tables rebuild themselves every time the vault opens.
What Brandon wanted
Dashboards that stay current without editing.

Using it?
Yes. Yes, properly: 22 dashboard files run Dataview queries, including the Conductor Hub and the Workflow Command Center. This is the one stack tool fully alive.

What it is
A tiny robot assembly line that moves files, links, drafts, and reminders between places after rules are set once.
Problem it solves
Daily plumbing (sales checks, file moves, research filing) eats attention. Robots do it on schedule.
What Brandon wanted
The boring moves running themselves.
